Terms of Service
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of yougear.co and the services of YouGear ("YouGear," "we," "us" or "our"). By using our website or subscribing to a service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our services
YouGear makes small software. Our website service designs, builds, hosts and maintains a website for your business on a monthly subscription; the features depend on the plan you choose. Apps we publish on a marketplace (such as Shopify, monday.com or Wix) are also covered by that marketplace's terms and by the app's own listing and policies.
2. Free previews
We may build a free concept preview of a new website for your business, using information and material from your current website and other public sources. A preview is private: it is not indexed by search engines and is clearly labeled as a concept. It is for your review only, carries no obligation and does not create a contract. We delete a preview when you ask us to, or if you don't reply.
3. Sign-up, fees and billing
You subscribe by adding a payment method through our payment provider, Stripe. Nothing is charged on the day you sign up. All subscriptions are charged on the last day of each calendar month (New York time), and each charge pays for the month that follows; the days between sign-up and your first charge are free. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method each month until you cancel. Prices are shown on our website and may be subject to applicable taxes. We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.
4. Cancellation
Plans are month to month. You may cancel at any time by emailing us or through the billing link we send you. When you cancel, your website stays live until the end of the month you have paid for and then goes offline. We do not refund partial months unless the law requires it.
5. Domains
On plans that include your own domain, we connect a domain you already own, or register an eligible domain in your name, and manage its technical settings while you subscribe. The domain belongs to you. If you cancel, we help you take over its management. Premium domains and unusual extensions may cost extra, which we agree with you first.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you provide or that comes from your business, such as text, photos and logos. You give us permission to use it to build, host and maintain your website. You confirm that you have the right to use that content and that it is accurate and lawful. You are responsible for telling us when your business information (such as hours or prices) changes.
7. Changes to your site
Send change requests by email. We aim to put them live within one business day. Your plan covers reasonable everyday changes; larger work, such as new pages or features, may need a different plan, which we agree with you first.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our services for anything unlawful, harmful or deceptive, or to publish content that is illegal or infringes anyone's rights. We may decline or remove such content, or suspend the service, if these Terms are broken.
9. Intellectual property
We keep all rights to our own designs, code, templates and systems. While your subscription is active, you have a license to use the website we provide for your business. That license ends when your subscription ends.
10. Disclaimers
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We work to build an effective website and keep it online, but we do not guarantee any particular result, such as traffic, calls, customers or search rankings, or that the service will never be interrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, YouGear is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim about the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
12. Indemnification
You agree to hold YouGear harmless from claims or costs arising from content you provide or from your misuse of the services.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and we tell subscribers about important changes by email. Continuing to use the services means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
